The hook is made from 18/8 alloy, type-304 stainless steel solid formed wire. This wire measures .098 inches in diameter and features an attractive brightly polished finish. The ends of the hook are fashioned into a formed retainer to ensure that the hook remains securely in place. The design of the hook allows it to be easily opened and closed with just gentle thumb pressure. When closed, the hook is 2-5/8 inches in height and 1-9/16 inches wide at its top. Opened, the hook measures 2-7/16 inches in length and 1-3/8 inches wide at its top. To use the unit with the 42-inch 1200-V shower curtain from ASI, seven hooks are necessary.
